Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned
Network Engineer
with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade networks, particularly in software-defined WAN (SD-WAN), LAN, and WLAN infrastructures using
Cisco
and
Versa
technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in
Cisco SD-WAN
(mandatory), TCP/IP, and a broad range of network protocols and architectures including
MPLS, BGP, OSPF
, and SDN elements such as
NFV
and
SASE
. Experience with cloud networking (
AWS, Azure, GCP
), security platforms (
Zscaler, Imperva
), and automation (
Python scripting
) is highly advantageous.
This role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to successfully drive complex projects in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate modern software-defined WAN, LAN, and WLAN infrastructures using Cisco, Versa, Aruba, and other relevant technologies.
Identify and select appropriate network solutions aligned with business objectives and requirements.
Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise network deployments with deep technical knowledge, particularly in routing, switching, SD-WAN, wireless, and large-scale network environments.
Continuously enhance the network through improvements, automation, and alignment with organizational goals.
Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, troubleshooting, problem analysis, and innovative thinking.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across various audiences, both orally and in writing.
Take personal ownership of projects, handle pressure confidently, and actively drive initiatives to successful completion.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years in network design and delivery of technology-centric, customer-focused services.
Minimum 3 years in modern software-defined networks, preferably in cloud-based environments.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Certifications (Preferred)
Versa Certified Administrator – SD-WAN Specialist or Versa Certified SD-WAN Associate (VNX100)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
Technical Expertise
Advanced knowledge of
Versa Secure SD-WAN
and
Cisco SD-WAN
; experience with medium to large-scale deployments (Cisco SD-WAN is mandatory).
Strong understanding of
TCP/IP concepts and fundamentals
.
Working knowledge of
WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, SD-LAN, WLAN, and NGFW technologies
.
Familiarity with network RFCs, protocols, transports, and standards such as
MPLS, Internet, VxLAN, IPsec, QoS, BGP, OSPF, GRE
, and other related WAN/LAN technologies.
Understanding of SDN additional elements, e.g.,
NFV, SASE, Versa Secure Access, Cisco Umbrella
.
Cloud networking knowledge, including
Direct Connect, ExpressRoute
, and multi-cloud connectivity (Equinix, Megaport).
Fundamental knowledge of
Wireless, DHCP, DNS, IPAM (DDI), proxy, WAF, CDN, and DDOS
concepts and platforms such as
Infoblox, Zscaler, Akamai, Imperva
.
Integration experience between modern networks and cloud service providers (
AWS, Azure, GCP
) is advantageous.
Knowledge of
SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and virtualization
is advantageous.
Scripting or coding skills (
Python
) are a plus.
Experience with internal and external monitoring, management, and reporting tools such as
Spectrum, SevOne, CyberArk, ThousandEyes, MS Entra ID
is advantageous.
