Qualifications:

- (7+ years) hands-on experience working with DWDM/optical networking equipment

-Experience in developing and providing implementation or migration solutions on optical networking technologies and equipment

-Thorough understanding of dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) CDC (Colorless, Directionless, Contentionless Architecture and Optical Transport Networking (OTN)

- Working knowledge of general networking topics such as TCP/IP networking, Linux, SSH and the capability to grasp new technology concepts quickly

-Hands on experience, design, installation and integration/migration of Cisco NCS1002/1004/ NCS2K/4K or similar optical platforms

-Goal-Oriented, self-starter that is capable of driving results in both a team-oriented and individual contributor environment

-Documentation skills

-Experience with fiber optic characterization (FOC), optical test equipment (OTDR, OSA, BERT, optical power meter)

-Experience with multi-vendors optical platforms (Ciena, Infinera etc) is an advantage"
